I’m Sarah-Jayne Kemnitz, founder of Grotbags Cleaning Services Ltd — The Cleaners That Care.
I didn’t start Grotbags just to clean homes. I started it because I genuinely care about people and the spaces they live in. For me, cleaning is about far more than appearance — it’s about dignity, comfort, and helping someone feel safe and supported in their own home.
I understand that behind every door is a real person with a real story. Many of the people we support are living with physical health challenges, mental health difficulties, hoarding behaviours, trauma, or overwhelming life circumstances. Others simply need a trustworthy, reliable service they can depend on. Every situation is different, but every person deserves respect — always.
I’m deeply committed to learning, training, and professional development. I continuously invest in specialist training to ensure Grotbags delivers the highest standard of care, especially when working with vulnerable individuals and complex environments. This allows us to provide safe, trauma-informed, non-judgemental support — not just a clean home.

Hi, I’m Cheryl.
I joined Grotbags in 2023 during a time when I needed something positive to help me rebuild my confidence and manage my anxiety. What began as a small step outside my comfort zone quickly became a role I truly love and feel proud of.
Since joining the team, I have grown both personally and professionally. I am now a senior member of Grotbags and play a vital role behind the scenes, helping to keep the business running smoothly day to day. My responsibilities include invoicing, booking in clients, managing schedules, and overseeing our Airbnb properties to ensure every stay meets Grotbags’ high standards.
I work closely with the team to make sure communication is clear, organised, and supportive — both for our clients and our staff. Knowing that my work helps create calm, reliable experiences for the people we support is incredibly rewarding.
Grotbags is more than a cleaning company. It’s a team that genuinely cares — about our clients, our staff, and the wider community. Going the extra mile isn’t optional here; it’s simply how we do things. I’m incredibly proud to be part of a company that values people as much as professionalism.
